Why Army: “At first, I was completely against (going to a service academy) — I didn’t really want to. But then, once I started learning about all the benefits that it has and how it sets you up after you complete it, I was good. It feels good to be giving back to my country.”

The relief of having his destination decided: “It was stressful with all of the different decisions. I had eight different colleges that I had to choose from. It was hard, but it feels good to have it out of the way, have my decision made and know where I’m going — and being happy about where I’m going. It’s an awesome place.”
